Height of Limerence is a long durational performance where Melati Suryodarmo has invited a male artist to interact with her and the objects they bring with. Height of Limerence is based on a study on the physical and psychological effects of a very beginning of a love stimulating aquintances. Based on the theory of Dorothy Tennov, where she explains about the game in the limerence process.

One of the important part of this work is to invite two friends who are also artists, to share their unfolded memories. The process of creating the work was depending on the memories they shared.

The concept of the project is to be continued by inviting other artist, the process will be begun by letters corespondencies, and the first meeting will be one day before the performance to introduce the space.

The first "Height of Limerence" performance was a part of the "Body and Eros", Venice Biennal Dance Festival 2007, at the Teatro al Tesse Arsenal, Venice, Italy, curated by Ismail Ivo and Marina Abramovic. Melati has invited Barak Reiser to be presence in the performance during the 5 hours durational performance which last for 3 days.

Duration of the Performance: 5 hours.

Performed at the "Erotic Body", La Bienalle di Venezia, Dance Festival, June 2007. 3 days performance, each 5 hours.
